Return Migrants: Empirical Evidence from Nepal

About The Book

The main objective of the study is to analyze the present status of the use of skills of the return migrants of Nepal and recommend the policies and programs regarding the future management of the return migrants of Nepal. The sample surveyed 39 migrant returnees from two divergent districts: Dhanusha from Province No.2 and Makawanpur from Province No.3. of Nepal. These two districts were chosen as sample for being the highest migrant-sending districts (not counting those going to India) in the Terai and the hills/mountains respectively.The acquired data were analyzed with the help of descriptive analysis. The return migrants surveyed had either invested in or were thinking of investing in new business.
