A few months after the events of Loose Threads (included in Three Windows) Suncat Morningsky Kaichang Belgardis and Verneen Halannim the Truesingers find themselves back on Suncat's home world as part of a new band Gestalt. Still struggling to adjust to new lives and new relationships they are not prepared for the turmoil that is poised to engulf them.
