Reuse of Textile mill sludge

Dr. Shrikant Jahagirdar from N K Orchid College of Engineering Solapur has conducted significant research on the Reuse of Textile Mill Sludge with a focus on sustainable waste management practices. His work explores the potential of utilizing sludge generated from textile mills which is often considered a hazardous waste due to its chemical and organic content as a raw material for various applications. The study investigates the chemical composition and physical properties of the sludge and assesses its suitability for reuse in building materials like Solid blocks concrete bricks and adsorbent for dye removal. Dr. Jahagirdar's research demonstrates how textile mill sludge when properly processed can reduce environmental pollution lower disposal costs and provide an alternative material source for the construction industry.
