Review on the stress analysis models of pneumatic tire

This book is devoted to review on the models of pneumatic tire stress analysis. Firstly a brief description of the radial tires and bias tires structures is carried out. According to the different analysis method the models are divided into three categories: physical model energy model and numerical model. Then a brief review is given on the netting model membrane model shell model composite material model string model elliptic cord shape model and piston-cord model. The basic stress calculation formulas and geometric models are given. The application of FEA models on tire static mechanics rolling noise handling and so on are mentioned.
