Revisiting the Local School Board: A Basis for Policy Directions for Improving Local Government Support for Basic Education is a study conducted to evaluate the performance of the Local School Board (LSB) whose primary duty is to allocate the Special Education Fund (SEF) to address the supplementary needs of the local public school system. Using documentary review analysis and focus group discussions (FGDs) with local school administrators-including principals head teachers and teachers-in-charge-the study assessed the Naguilian LSB's effectiveness in disbursing the SEF. It also evaluated the board's compliance with the Transparency Law and the Freedom of Information Act.
