Once a child learns that letter H huffs and huffs because he hikes a hill Huh-uh-huh he can hardly ever forget that letter H says Huh! A child can learn that letter A is afraid Aaaah! Or that letter U gets upset Uhhh! The McClure Method makes learning to read so simple. See it! Say it! Remember it! Wow! By the 2nd semester of preschool my son knew every letter's sound! By the end of the year he had read over 453 books! At the beginning of first grade he was tested using the McCall's system to determine his reading/spelling level. He tested at nearly a 4th grade level! Chelsea Faiva I had heard that if you go into Mrs. McClure's program you come out reading. I was a bit skeptical but my daughter read 625 books that semester and started kindergarten already reading! In my classroom my children have more fun learning and retaining what they learn using her system of sound development story telling actions and review. It makes my job a joy to teach.
