Getting washed down stream he was saved by Indians and became a semi-captive. While living with these Indians he was able to amass a fortune in hide trading. Tragedy took his young wife and twin sons when his village was attacked during one of his trips to trade furs. Returning to civilization he finds a long lost brother.
