Ridge preservation using autogenous bone graft compared to xenograft

About The Book

Alveolar ridge augmentation can be accomplished with various types of bone grafts viz. autogenous allograft xenograft and alloplast. Autogenous bone graft is labeled as the ‘‘gold standard’’ because of faster healing times and integration between native and foreign bone. The objective of this review was to study the literature in order to produce a database of outcome variables that has been utilized for Clinical and Radiographic parameters. The purpose of this systematic review is to compare human studies of vertical and horizontal alveolar ridge augmentation comparing autogenous graft and xenograft.
