Right to Education in India : A Study of Jharkhand

The book Right to Education in India: A Study of Jharkhand has raised a critical and contemporary issue as it has yet to be realised since its inception. It is based on the Research Study entitled “A Study of Implementation of RTE in Jharkhand: Analysis of DISE Report in Six Major Tribal Concentrated Districts”. This study looks into the implementation of significant indicators of The Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act 2009 in both the Government and Private Unaided schools of these districts of Jharkhand state. The study finds very unsatisfactory implementation of the Act. The study has been supported by the National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration New Delhi. This book will be of value to educational planners policymakers and researchers.
