Ring Seine Fishing Systems of Kerala and its Life Cycle Assessment

Ring seine fishing industry is the most efficient fishing method for exploitation of small pelagic fishery of India. The present investigations have been carried out as there is a paucity of information pertaining to the regional variations in design of ring seines and their operation durability of ring seine gear and influencing parameters sinking speed and operational efficiency of the gear spatial and seasonal distribution of fishing grounds life cycle assessment of ring seine and carbon footprint studies. Information on these aspects are required for sustainable exploitation of the small pelagic fishery. The content of the book has been organized into ten chapters which includes introduction materials and methods summary and recommendations.
