Mohan’s life was woven entirely out of relationships.
There were the bonds he was born into—of blood—held together most strongly by his mother.
And then there were the relationships he had built himself—of friendship companionship and a family he created out of love rather than lineage.
But now cracks had begun to appear in both these layers.

His mother’s passing had carved a wound into his soul one that continued to bleed a little every day.
And the very people on whom he had built the foundation of his life were slowly drifting away from him.

He wanted to hold on to those who had once stood by him—but their fingers kept slipping away.
Each time he tried to tighten his grip the relationships slipped through like air—
the tighter you try to hold them the faster they escape.

And when relationships begin to scatter one by one a strange emptiness takes birth inside a person.
It was into this emptiness that Mohan slowly began to sink.
