Risk assessment of dental instruments

Unlike other areas of medicine there are no precisely defined hygiene guidelines in dentistry regarding the risk assessment of dental instruments for reprocessing. As a result each dentist must essentially assess for themselves which risk groups (non-critical semi-critical critical) the respective instruments belong to. This book provides a risk assessment and classification of dental instruments for reprocessing. It is based on the guidelines of the Robert Koch Institute and aims to determine whether these guidelines and classifications are suitable for use in dentistry.
