40 years have passed since the worldwide robot attacks caught humanity off-guard. Known as HRUOs (Hostile Robots of Unknown Origin) they have ruthlessly and methodically taken over 50%% of the Earth's total landmass. The war has been more or less stalemated now but reports are coming in of massive robot armies and new frightening weapons; humanity's ability to hold the line is burgeoning on collapse. Three soldiers find themselves in the path of one of the newest assaults. In a small under-defended town: Captain Rex Fischer a once famous war hero and leader of the Dark Horse Commando Squad; 2nd Lieutenant Madison Brookes a green cadet and recent addition to the Dark Horse Commandos; Sergeant Chet Lander a father husband and factory worker just called back into active duty to man his hometown's line of defense.
