<p class=ql-align-justify>After the Beatles' first appearance on <em>The Ed Sullivan Show</em> American prime time television was quick to capitalize on a new presumed musical fad that had attracted millions of viewers. Within weeks scripted TV shows were showcasing Beatles-knock off bands. As the sixties progressed rock and roll groups-both real and faux-were written into many of the TV programs of the era. Classic shows like <em>Gilligan's Island</em> <em>The Munsters</em> <em>Get Smart</em> <em>Batman</em> <em>F Troop</em> <em>Mannix </em>and <em>I Dream of Jeannie </em>all welcomed popular recording groups while lesser recalled programs such as <em>The Felony Squad</em> <em>The Name of the Game </em>and <em>Judd for the Defense </em>continued the trend.
