The emissions from diesel engines are very harmful to the environment and for human health. The significant emissions are smoke and NOx which need to be controlled in an effective manner. Numerous research is going on to diminish the emissions from CI engines by using some additives as well as the use of alternative fuels. This investigation focuses on determining the outcome of oxygenated additives and injection pressure on exhaust emissions and the performance characteristics of a CI engine.
