The study concentrates on aspects of digital financial inclusion that impact consumers' perceptions and the factors that discourage or impede their adoption of digital banking. The majority of studies on the effects of digital banking and consumer awareness have concentrated on the urban population but for a variety of reasons the rural population is still underserved. According to the 2011 Census 1210193422 people lived in India making up 68.83% of the nation's rural population. Punjab had a population of 27704236 people of which 62.5% lived in rural areas. For this reason it's critical to examine how both urban and rural populations are interacting with digital financial inclusion.
