Role of Herbs in Endodontics

Herbal use the traditional way of treatment is a five thousand year old science with the recent boom in Holistic and herbal medicine and an ever growing trend among the general population to refer to the herbal remedies as an alternative to the pharmaceutical therapies.The focus of current study should be more in investigating unexplored herbal drugs and there natural products as well as there therapeutic application side effects and possible drug interactions as there are only few studies to support their rational use in dental field .Herbal dentistry has a vast scope in the dental field.Some dedicated research should be directed in this area so that in the course of years it may become a common practice in the dental field.
