Role of Platelet-Rich Plasma Injection in Primary Knee Osteoarthritis

What is the target? Thousands of physicians ask themselves that question many times everyday in their battle against diseases. Sometimes it is prevention and most of times it is treatment. The another question should be asked: Is that treatment efficient and sufficient or not? In Rheumatology our target is remission or low disease activity as unfortunately there is no cure in most diseases in our field. Osteoarthritis causes an economic and social burden and specially knee affection causes disability and handicapping to old and non old people. So cure is a dream to patients who become disabled or waiting that fate and also structural and functional restoration is the dream of physicians. This study is a result of four-years work and I hope it become a step in the way to that dream.
