About The Book

Blacks have made tremendous contributions in the humanities since the 1985 publication of Blacks in the Humanities 1750-1984. In philosophy for example Black philosophers are writing treatises on Hegel St. Augustine and Kant as well as on racial issues. African American folklore an area neglected by many scholars is being examined by Black folklorists.
