Rooted in the Wild Children's Book Curriculum Guide

The Rooted in the Wild Outdoor Curriculum Guide is designed to help educators and camp leaders bring the themes of the children's book Rooted in the Wild: A JourneyThrough Nature & History by Pickett Slater Harrington (lulu.com) to life for youth ages 2-16.The guide lists strategies for age-appropriate outdoor engagement cultural storytelling and nature-based skills rooted in African and African American traditions. Included in the guide is an overview of the focus areas and approach of the curriculum as well as an outline of the objectives and sample activities by age group.
