Round cell tumors: diagnostic dilemmas

One of the current challenges for pathologists is to be able to handle manage and integrate molecular pathology into the routine diagnosis of round cell sarcomas when needed. There is a further reason to provide accurate diagnosis in soft tissue round cell sarcomas of childhood: the high response rate of many of them to appropriately applied specific neoadjuvant/adjuvant chemotherapeutic protocols.
