RPG books and magazines were initially brought to Brazil by players who acquired them abroad and shared them through photocopies and xerox copies with their communities gradually attracting the interest of domestic publishers who began to publish them in translated editions or in original versions competing for a place in this market until the mid-1990s when the São Paulo publishers Devir and Trama predominated. This book aims to present the general lines of what this market was starting from the case of São Paulo in these early years and to point out elements on how the genre of RPG books in a first moment in an American way was recreated in Brazil.
