Rural Development in Latin America and the Caribbean

The study addresses the issue of rural development based on the most recognized approaches in the field such as territorial rural development which has become the main narrative in Latin America and the Caribbean. The author includes in this approach the Central American Strategy for Territorial Rural Development 2010 - 2030 (ECADERT) which responds to a need of Central American societies to face structural obstacles to achieve sustainable and inclusive development for which the integral development of their rural territories is fundamental.
