It is a collection of poems short stories and essays which navigate the reality of being a minority while dealing with political frustrations which trigger familial adversities such as addiction and contemplation of one's spiritual path. Outside of the American Dream it shows how one's desire for opportunity and change fuels the motivation to continue living somewhere many people hope you are erased from. </span><em style=background-color: rgba(0 0 0 0); color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>Russeting Fruits</em><span style=background-color: rgba(0 0 0 0); color: rgba(0 0 0 1)> accounts stories of gang violence in El Salvador and the femicide epidemic in Mexico to list some reasons why immigrants leave their home countries. It is a refusal to stay silent and in turn becomes a counter-narrative to the hatred inflicted onto the Latine community. This collection will make you assess your own alignment to the beliefs the Republican party turned-borderline-fascist and the legacy the Trump administration will leave behind. We must come together now as a community to stand against this political oppresion.</span></p><p></p>
