Ryan and the Great Lakes Pirates

An imaginative eight-year-old boy enjoys a wonderful family vacation in the Les Cheneaux Islands of Lake Huron. He then embarks on an swashbuckling time-travel adventure with a pirate captain and his crew on the Great Lakes. They encounter and defeat the dastardly pirate Captain Lowe on Lake Superior rescue shipwreck survivors on Lake Michigan and participate in the Battle of Lake Erie. Along the way the young boy learns many new skills and demonstrates bravery and compassion for those around him. Will he decide to remain on the Dancing Monkey or return home to his parents?
