There are countless texts available on spirituality and adding something more to this subject may seem repetitive. Yet after deep reflection I decided to share my thoughts. This effort is inspired by the belief that a person should not only engage in compassionate actions but also share the authentic knowledge that our sages thinkers and scholars have preserved for thousands of years. Naresh Kumar Gupta is an experienced professional with over three decades of diverse work in marine engineering and government service. From 1993 to 2017 he served in the Department of Atomic Energy where he handled key responsibilities. He began his career as a maintenance engineer on international vessels and later took on important roles in the central government. He has extensive experience in strategic imports especially procurement related to the nuclear sector and in managing sensitive human resource matters. Naresh has a deep interest in ancient Indian religious literature. He has studied the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita and the six schools of Vedic philosophy and wrote a book on the Gita during the Covid pandemic. Beyond his intellectual pursuits he enjoys chess lawn tennis and martial arts. He has also studied astrology and analyzed hundreds of birth charts. At 67 he follows a disciplined lifestyle and exercises regularly even while undergoing cancer treatment for the past three years. He is the proud father of two sons. He has been a widower since 2014 and cherishes the memory of his wife who also passed away due to cancer.
