Shirdi Sai Baba as a great Indian guru yogi and fakir is revered by both his Muslim and Hindu devotees. He is a very popular saint especially in India and is also worshiped by people around the world. Sai Baba encouraged charity and stressed the importance of sharing. He advised his devotees and followers to lead a moral life and help others. He taught a moral code of love forgiveness helping others charity contentment inner peace and devotion to God and guru. He advocated for loving every living being without any discrimination of caste creed and religion. Sai Babas teachings combined the elements of Hinduism and Islam. He was an opponent of religious orthodoxy. He advised his followers to lead a simple and pious life. He taught to develop two important features of character: devotion to the Guru (Sraddha) and waiting cheerfully with patience and love (Saburi). In his teachings Sai Baba emphasized the importance of performing ones duties without attachment to earthly matters and of being content regardless of the situation. He had no love for perishable things and his sole concern was self-realization. He used to say: Sabka Malik Ek (One God governs all).
