The present work focuses on Saint-John Perse''s collection of poems Exil. Designated as part of the American cycle the poet celebrates the movement of the mind towards a confrontation of the arcana of poetry with those of the passion of displacement the presence of the sea and the anguish of solitude. Three poles that form a whole bundle of complex images and intertwined themes amplified from one text to the next forming a unity coherence and singular poetics. In movement the poet seeks answers to questions about the meaning of life and things.
