Saint Philomena

St Philomena was a young princess who dedicated her life to Christ. When faced with the proposal to marry an evil king she refused and remained steadfast in her love for God. She kept her gaze on heaven while being persecuted by the king and his men and was finally martyred.</span></p><p><span style=background-color: rgba(255 255 255 1); color: rgba(34 34 34 1)> </span></p><p><span style=background-color: rgba(255 255 255 1); color: rgba(34 34 34 1)>Her zeal for God and her courage in the face of trials despite her age are admirable. We all have fears and standing in the face of our unknowns can feel daunting.
