We travel through life feeling isolated and alone yearning for a deep unwavering connection with a special soul created just for us. What happens when we stumble upon such a connection but life or circumstance prevent us from exploring the one we find solace in? How do we face loss brought upon by something other than death but in fact life? Perhaps you have a heart that aches a space that is never filled? Possibly a love or loss that haunts your minutes all day long?Same as Me was written for those who have experienced the incredible blessing of finding authentic and undeniable love only to have life death or unexpected circumstance snatch it away far too soon. The poetry within represents a journey of the heart a sacred pilgrimage of discovery. An experience of being fortuitously led to a unique spirit. A spirit which somehow effortlessly mirrored its own and conclusively impacted the deepest parts of the soul. Capturing not only the euphoria that accompanies a soul connection but also the depths of agony brought about by helplessly watching it slip away. Same as Me is an expedition of ascension. Ultimately summoning the strength to rise from the shadowy absence of what could have been to a place of peace indebted and grateful instead for what was.
