Satanism Fears in Evangelical Communities

<p>In 2020 journalist Zack Stanton suggested that we are living in a golden age of conspiracy theories. Chief among these conspiracies is QAnon. Q the anonymous originator of the conspiracy claimed that a cabal of Satanic elites control the world's media and financial centers while engaging in horrific acts of human sacrifice and child abuse. As the conspiracy continued to spread it was revealed that evangelical Christians make up a significant portion of QAnon adherents. According to the Public Religion Research Institute twenty-two percent of evangelical Christians subscribe to the conspiracy.Throughout history tales of subversive organizations seeking to undermine social order and attack the faithful have haunted Chrtistendom</p>
