School: An Industry of Values

Collapse of the national value system has been a serious challenge facing Nigeria and the rest of the world. Though Nigeria has been seriously affected in all ramifications be it in education social economic cultural political etc. This has led to the unabated corruption kidnapping cultism amongst the youths suicide internet fraud quick money syndrome armed robbery and other social evils that have left the entire nation undeveloped. Other negative effects of the collapse of the value system are ethnic conflict ineptitudeness tribal suspicion and nepotism. This work philosophically reflected on these issues and as well proffer solutions to this effect. Functional education system is considered as the best option in solving most of these problems. Nigeria nation-state should build an educational system that is hinged on character formation intellectual development and sound knowledge acquisition.
