The starting point for the considerations following the book project School Development 1 on an organizational development is an innovation push of an educational institution to ensure a smooth and necessary transition. The pressure to innovate requires further development in a plural society whereby knowledge management is of particular importance. In this context the school is spoken of as a learning organization. The study attempts to provide answers for an ideal-typical sequence of an organizational development process.
