The latest report on the general population and housing census revealed that a significant number of the school-age population do not attend school or have left school early. Only 50.61% of children in the urban commune of Say attended school in 2012. In order to better understand the reasons for such a catastrophe in a context where education for all is advocated we will attempt through this book and by adopting a qualitative approach to understand the perceptions that parents have of school and the strategies they put forward to enroll or not their children in the urban commune of Say.
