Coarse Woody Debris in Forests of Qinling Mountains in China

As an ecological unit coarse woody debris (CWD) plays an essential role in productivity nutrient cycling carbon sequestration community regeneration and biodiversity. However thus far the information on quantification the ecological value of CWD in forest ecosystems remains considerably limited. This book presents the first set of results (1996-2016) from a long-term project measuring CWD at the Qinling National Forest Ecosystem Research Station (QNFERS) of China. The dynamics of CWD characteristics the decay and nutrient dynamics of CWD the influence factors of CWD mass etc. are analyzed. This book can be provided the valuable references for those who are interested in research and practice of CWD in forest ecosystem and its implications for forest management.
