Here we have a blend of scientific foul play and sci-fi meanderings that are interweaved with a sprinkling of life threatening situations and the joy and heartbreak of a love affair. The story evolves around Brooke Sterling a young private investigator who discovers many wrong doings on the estate bordering her property. Numerous setbacks and accomplishments outweigh one another as the story unfolds and although Brooke must contend with doubts and innuendos from the police and the owner of the estate she perseveres drawing almost everyone she meets into her web of spying and scheming. When haunted by the memory of penetrating screams that trembled her during the previous night hours Brooke is prompted to go next door for a proper introduction to the owner of the estate. In the beginning her attraction to the young successful businessman inhibits her original intention to solve the mystery behind the screams and distracts from her endeavors to help her new friends but she does not remain diverted. Her friendship with a young alien boy and her involvement with a cook who works at a school for employees on the estate take her on an emotional and physical ride through strange and extraordinary events.
