Searching for Why

<p><em>Searching For Why</em> is more than a book of poetry. It is a reflection on life faith and love through my sixty-six years of living. It is retrospective philosophical and at times challenging. It speaks of those moments in life of love heartbreaks chaos frustrations and spiritual discovery that we all share. And through it all searching for...why?</p><p></p><p>Poor choices have short term negative consequences. Bad decisions have long term negative consequences. Try to make as few poor choices and even fewer bad decisions in this life and you will do well.</p><p>Ken Wingate</p><p></p><p>SECRETS HELD</p><p></p><p>In the deepest part of me</p><p>Is the darkest part of me</p><p>That none shall ever know</p><p>That none shall ever see</p><p></p><p>The secrets held inside that place</p><p>The secrets that I hide</p><p>Will never see the light of day</p><p>Will still be there the day I die</p><p></p><p>Don't judge me harsh with pompous minds</p><p>Don't judge me in the least</p><p>For within every one of us</p><p>Are the secrets that we keep</p><p></p><p>You can lie to all you know</p><p>You can lie to even you</p><p>But the secrets are still there</p><p>So none will know yours too</p><p></p><p>GOD IS</p><p></p><p>God is.</p><p>God is not</p><p>what men want God to be.</p><p>For God is not</p><p>a bull-headed he.</p><p>Nor is God</p><p>a much wiser she.</p><p>For God is They</p><p>The Holy Trinity</p><p>yet one Holy Deity.</p><p>The Creator Beloved and Presence</p><p>three spirit entities.</p><p>Yes separate spirits</p><p>in perfect harmony</p><p>as They have been</p><p>all eternity.</p><p>For God is spirit</p><p>not of flesh you see.</p><p>God is much more</p><p>than you or me.</p><p>God is and reigns</p><p>in all Their majesty.</p><p>God is everything</p><p>and is all I need.</p><p>God is</p><p>is what I believe.  </p>
