Season V

The unit has trained for weeks to extricate a group of POWs from their captivity in North Vietnam. Their mission has gone terribly wrong. Now can they survive long enough to return to the lines of friendly forces, and once there, can they rejoin the forces without being shot? These army rangers try new techniques to carry out their mission, but when times get tough, they find that the time-tested values of the soldier are the pillars they must rely on to accomplish the mission. These young men, recruited to be the new face of the American soldier, find that the old skills are still important and that as each wave of new developments come, they must be incorporated into the core values of the fighting man. These time-tested values are the backbone of the force, and as each generation comes along, there is a tendency to leave those values behind. You will enjoy seeing the development of these new fighting men and the growing respect and inclusion of the veteran soldiers assigned to lead them. They draw from the knowledge and skills of each of those assigned to lead them. These men who serve as their leaders are developing their appreciation of the generation to come. This is the tenet of the American fighting man, which must be passed from each generation to the next.
