Seasons by the Bay

<p>Seasons by the Bay is a collection of poems by Joyce Snyder. Its verse describes the author's connection to place season self and others. Many poems are set near the southern end of the San Francisco Bay where the author lives. Her poetry reflects her growing awareness of surroundings-the beauty and magnificence of white pelicans barn swallows jacaranda trees an ancient redwood a birch tree clouds a hike with newts and sunrise and sunset.  Many poems contain the lessons she's learning along the way in connection with friends and family.</p>
