It is a meticulously researched chronology documenting the origins of ice hockey during the initial era at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from the 1890s on Lake Mendota through the mid-1930s.</p><p class=ql-align-justify>Hockey developed quite a following in Madison WI. as a recreational activity that grew into a full-fledged varsity sport at the UW by 1922 until the program was ultimately canceled in 1935!
