Second Chance

Lenora and Roger Work's tropical honeymoon in Key West is a distant memory. One bit of business remains. On their final night in paradise a musician they befriended has an odd request. A deadbeat dad from their hometown Philadelphia the musician wants them to contact his fifteen year-old daughter Mariela and deliver a gift. When Roger a disbarred lawyer and paralegal with Philadelphia's Defender's Association locates Mariela he discovers she's serving three months for a first-time shoplifting offense. Roger's investigation uncovers a web of corruption and child endangerment. This third installment in the Roger Work series comes full circle from eclectic Key West to the underbelly of the streets of Philadelphia proving everyone deserves a second chance.
