Secret of the Bluebonnet

Written in a contemporary format the story follows young Long Feather as she finds herself being pledged to marry the cruel One Green Eye a man she has grown up hating. To complicate matters shes developed feelings for a forbidden young brave named Blue Stone who shes seen and talked to but has never actually met. All Long Feather needs for a shot at a happy future is to formulate a plan to make everyone believe shes agreed to marry One Green Eye. She will then have time to prepare to run away with Blue Stone at the very moment they finally meet. Of course her plan also needs to make her parents and One Green Eye believe shes died without a trace so no one finds out shes lied defied village law and shamed herself and her family. If she succeeds she has a chance to be happy and her family is spared bearing her shame.
