Securing Chinese assets along the New Silk Roads

If we are to look for the earliest traces of globalization in human history the Silk Road is probably one of the most relevant examples. For thousands of years this set of land and sea routes has seen the circulation of both people and ideas goods and knowledge. Seven centuries later in September 2013 the first secretary of the Chinese Communist Party XI Jinping gave a speech at the University of Astana in Kazakhstan.
