Seduced by the Sliver Cat

<p><strong>Let the moon guide you.</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong><em>Chase</em></strong></p><p>Long ago in a land far away I became a shifter. Actually it was only a year. Why the goddess chose me I'll never know. Once a month the moon forces me to become a cougar. It wouldn't be so bad if I knew where I was or what I'm doing. Instead I'm relegated to a deep abyss of nothingness until my shifter side deems it the right time to slink into the shadows once more. I'm <em>told </em>it gets better. I'm <em>told</em> the goddess chose me for a reason. I'm not sure if I believe it. Now I'm headed to Moon Cove for shifter lessons. It should be humiliating but I'm choosing to focus on the positive-like the captivating woman I'm staying with. Kira is exactly who I've been missing in my life. If I play my cards right we'll go from our no-strings-attached situation to something more. Hopefully I can convince her we're meant to be together despite our differences. When I morph into a sliver cat a cryptid who hasn't been seen in a century all my plans unravel. As hard as it is I might not be able to keep her.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><em>Kira</em></strong></p><p>Once upon a time in a shifter community there lived a wolf shifter. It's me Kira. I'm the shifter. Growing up around others like me was a blessing and a curse. I love my family and Moon Cove but it's hard to convince everyone I'm no longer the mean girl I was in high school. Retreating into myself may not be the healthiest way but I've managed to carve out a small space to exist here. It may not be the lift I dreamed of yet it's mine. Until Chase waltzes into town with his easy smile and bubbly personality threatening to disrupt my quiet existence. He's exactly who I'd want in a partner if I was searching for a mate. Which I'm not. Doesn't mean we can't indulge in a little commitment-free relationship. Except the moon is cruel and the goddess has plans of her own. As much as I want to let him in I know it'll never work. I come with too much baggage and I can't ask him to stay. But what if I did? What if I chose <em>me </em>for once? It could just change our paths forever.</p>
