<p>Family therapist Jackie Kessler the child of Korean refugees works mostly with minorities a clientele many of her colleagues avoid. 15-year-old Amy Nguyen the child of Vietnamese refugees reluctantly enters Jackie's office after a suicide attempt. Their relationship grows and nurtures them both. At age 25 Amy is Seattle's newest indie rock sensation. By 30 she's dead - a suicide. Jackie's shocked - she knows this can't be true.
