In 'see me hide' Caroline Burrows seeks to illustrate her ongoing exploration of the adverse effects of complex childhood trauma on her adult relationships and interactions. This series of self portraits in which she is often naked sometimes blurred occasionally bleeding but always hiding documents the painful experience of hiding who she is whilst imploring the viewer to really see her and asks: What is it like to be seen? What is it like to be heard?
