About The Book

An investigation entitled as “Effect of Different Seed Priming Treatments on Seed Quality and Yield Parameters in Bread Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)” was conducted at the experimental field of Wheat Research Unit Dr. PDKV Akola during rabi season of 2013-14. The study included two wheat varieties and five seed priming treatments with net plot 2.60 ×1.60 m2. The varieties were AKAW-3722 AKW-1071 and Priming treatments Control PEG 10% PEG 20% KCL 2% and KCL 4% to study their effect of different seed priming treatments on seed quality parameters seed yield and yield components From the present investigation it was observed that variety AKW-1071 recorded maximum shoot length dry weight electrical conductivity. Similar in of respect yield contributing characters same variety AKW-1071 recorded maximum field emergence percent plant height number of effective tillers/m2 days to 50 percent flowering days to maturity number of spikelet’s/ear head number of grains /ear head grain weight/ear head test weight grain yield/plot and straw yield/plot.
