Griffonia seeds (Griffonia simplicifolia)The overall objective of this study is to contribute to the valorization of Griffonia simplicifolia seeds from the Togolese flora in agri-food and pharmacology. Specifically the study aims to: study the phytochemical and biochemical composition of the seeds; quantify 5-HTP and isolate it; At the end of the research results the Griffonia simplicifolia seeds of the Togolese flora present an immense nutritional potential and contain phytoconstituents with interesting pharmacological properties: - alkaloids flavonoids tannins saponins and total phenols in the seeds attesting their pharmacological virtues. - the oil extracted from the seeds presents edible physicochemical characteristics. - the seeds contain minerals such as: Ca P K Na Mg Zn Cu Fe and Mn.- they also contain the amino acids: Ile Trp Phe and Leu.
