This collection of key texts is based on the recent and highly praised two-volume Cambridge edition of Descartes philosophical writings The Philosophical Writings of Descartes by Cottingham Stoothoff and Murdoch. It includes the Discourse and Meditations as well as significant excerpts from the Regulae Optics Principles Objectives and Replies Comments on a Broadsheet and Passions of the Soul.
