<p>A shining pearl in the history of world literature.</p><p>世界文学史上一颗闪耀的明珠。</p><p></p><p>This poetry collection selects 67 representative works from twelve Bengali poets of which more than two-thirds of the poems are translated into Chinese for the first time and are all translated from Bengali original works. The selected works are representative and influential works of Bengali language poets in modern literature from Bangladesh who belong to today's Bangladesh according to their country of origin excluding works of Bengali language poets such as Tagore who belong to the Indian state of West Bengal by region. The diverse and inclusive Bengali language has a long tradition of poetry and holds a special position in the development history of various ethnic languages and literature in India's modern and contemporary times. It has also had an important and profound impact on the entire Eastern literature.</p><p>本诗集精选十二位孟加拉语诗人的六十七首代表作，其中三分之二以上诗作是首次中文译介，且均译自孟加拉语原作。所选皆为孟加拉现代文学中具有代表性和影响力，且根据国别属于今天孟加拉国的孟加拉语诗人之作，不包括泰戈尔等按地域归属印度西孟加拉邦的孟加拉语诗人的作品。多元包容的孟加拉语文学具有悠久的诗歌传统，在印度近现代各民族语言文学的发展历史进程中有着特殊地位，对整个东方文学也产生了重要而深远的影响。</p>
